So I held a funeral for my camera this morning. It consisted of throwing it against a wall and watching it smash into pieces, which I then fed to the cute little monkeys on the balcony. It was very therapeutic. HAHAH Just kidding! That would have been fun though, and my camera is actually dead.
So this morning. I woke up around 8:30. I had horseback riding this morning. The restaurant is closed on Sunday's so I had an apple and the Snapple that didn't break yesterday lol. I got all sun blocked up and put on my new lulu moisture wicking leggings, my hiking sneakers, one of my new VS PINK bikini's and a pink tank top. I met Laura down stairs and we headed into town. We met at the place on time only to discover that we were told to be there early, cause we were expected to be late.
So we decided to have breakfast at El Sano Banano. I had whole wheat toast with butter and marmalade. It was FABULOUS! Sara and Alicia and Kevin then met up with us too! We all waited. I love Kevin and Alicia- there are a cute little couple who met at school in arizona. They are adorable. For breakfast they had beers- did I mention they were super cool!
So finally we we went down to the beach to meet up with our guides. It was a father and Daughter. She is 15 and her name is Naya and she is from Canada. Bloor and Eglington. She is going to Crestwood next year. It was so nice to talk about Canadian things, especially about the independent school system because we all know how I'm their biggest cheerleader! Her dad was cool too- Mauricio. (I think) They asked who had experience riding and I was the only one... so I got the bad horse. His name was Touca but I called him Toucan Sam. I got a whip to keep him in line, because apparently he like to bully the other horses. There was nothing cooler than cantering down the beach with the wind and the sun and the ocean. It was like a scene out of a movie.
We rode to El Chorro Waterfall. It is one of 7 waterfalls in the world that flows directly into the Ocean.
We got to the watering hole and there we tied up the horses and dropped our clothes- we left our bathing suits on you perverts! lol We then had to walk the rest of the way to the water fall. Laura and I started to go but then almost got like third degree burns on our feet from the hot hot sand. We raced back to get sneakers. It was a good call because we had to hike up rocks to get to the waterfall. So basically I went rock climbing today too. I love my hiking sneakers. The waterfall was BEAUTIFUL. Sorry I don't have pics- we all know why. It was low tide so we could see a lot. It would have been really scary at high tide but it was gorgeous.
Laura and I hiked back to the watering hole to swim. We were kinda nervous because we couldnt see to the bottom or around us. It looked kinda like a scene from Anaconda- so we weren't in there very long. Mauricio had cut up pineapple for the group. It was SOO good. So we munched on the pineapple. Our hour had flown by so we saddled back up and then headed back to Montezuma.
THe ride back was a little tricky because we had wet bathing suits on. My pooter and thighs and butt hurts like mad. Horse back riding is actually a little bit of a work out. It was so much fun though. It was really cool to see the beaches beyond Montezuma because they are not accessible by foot.
Once we got back to Montezuma, one of the horses... lets just say got excited. hahah Now Laura and I understand the expression hung like a horse. We felt like school children giggling away but it's like a car accident- you can't look away.
After that- Alicia and Kevin and I went to a soda for lunch. (A soda is like a cute, cheap place to grab food). I had the chicken wrap which was basically a quesadilla and a banana smoothie.
After lunch I got some water and headed back to the hotel. I picked up my laundry from Dona Vicky the Hotel owner and it was only 5$. It was all nicely clean and folded. SO nice!
I then went upstairs to shower. I was sweating profusely from the heat and covered in spf and bug spray. My water was relatively warm today. It was so nice- I took a little extra time today. I then took a nap which was SO FABULOUS! Oh it was just great. I then woke up a ball of energy.
I met two of the new girls Lorrien (from the UK) and Ann (from Philly- but she's living some where else but I can't remember). I hung out in the hammocks for a smidgen and then went to get ready for dinner and a movie. I walked in by myself and just chilled at the table. You know I go way to much when Giovanni the waiter knows me by name. They even knew what I wanted. I need to get the other guy's name because he's a cutie and came over and chatted with me until the rest of the group got there. I ordered the greek salad. It was heaven on a plate. All I have wanted is greek salad. I don't even need the salad- just feta is fine. It was SOOO good! I paired with a pineapple, banana smoothie. Alicia and Kevin got there- everyone else bailed. Probably to their own benefit because the movie was death on a platter. It was "What Just Happened" with Robert Deniro. I really advise against it. It was a bad movie about making bad movies. HA- Kind of Ironic.
So after dinner we went to the grocery store and got snickers... I know it is so bad but I just desperately needed something chocolate and sweet. It was just average.
Then we walked back to the hotel. I got on the comp and Ichatted with my mom- I was trying to help her set up her own AIM. Account. HAHAH NOT and easy task. I still dont know if it worked. We shall see. We also discussed options to get me a camera. We have a pretty good one. If someone is coming from the states on the weekend. Maybe my mom could ship them the camera and they could bring it to me here when they come. I'm going to talk to Andrea and Jeremy the director's tomorrow. KARMIC E2
Sooo this week is going to be a little difficult. I have surfing at 8:45 every day. Therefore I need to leave the hotel at 7:45 and so then I need to eat from 7:30-7:45 and thus awake at 7. I don't have yoga until 6:30 so that gives me time in between to nap and or relax. It will be interesting!
