Day 5

So you are going to have to bare with me for my upcoming posts... I kinda hurt my hand. We don't know if it's broken or jamed or fractured or d. all of the above. Its hurts to type....

So today was probably my favorite day here even though a ton of crap things happened. I woke up this morning to my FAB new 2$ alarm clock which works wonders! I love it! lol I then went to Breakfast and was joined by Kim and Brian. I had the fresh fruit with granola and yogurt. The yogurt was sour, but other wise it was good. I then rushed off to yoga. It was my girl crush Kristen teaching again. It was another FABULOUS class. She is so talented. During our Savasana (the meditation at the end) she came and massaged our temples while she put a scented cream on our heads. It smelled so nice and felt so good. One of my goals while here in Costa Rica was to become the best yogi I can be. Part of being a great yogi is inverts. I can do my shoulder stand beautifully. I'm actually really good at it. The Head stand however, is really difficult and requires a lot of core strength. I have never even come close to it. Today however is a different story because not only did I do it, but I did it by myself! FAB! I was so excited. Oh and a lizard joined our yoga class. There are lizards everywhere here!
After yoga I then went to my room and realized I made a pretty big mistake. I forgot to register in my courses for queens. (Dad I know your reading this- so just bust a chillax and I'll take care of it.) I'm only a day late... but I'm also a day too late. All the courses I NEEDED to take are full. So I e-mailed the school to see what we can do about it. It would be so easy if I could call but not having access to a phone is quite a problem. So hopefully they will be willing to work with me through e-mail. Karmic Energy will make everything better! It will work out just fine! What is meant to be will be because everything happens for a reason.
So after my panic attack I went to lunch here in the hotel. I had nachos. They were the best I have ever had, but made me feel like crap after. I really need to practice my spanish if I want to eat healthier. I order things just because I know what they are but like it's always nachos, tacos lol. You get the gist. I had lunch with Tiarra, Adam & Anne Marie. They had just come back from hiking Cabo Blanco National Park. They said it was beautiful but they didnt see too much, definitely not enough for how exhausted they were.
After lunch I went to surfing. I walked along listening to the BEST surfer playlist ever! It was stellar. (of course most of it recommended by Christine - but some found by me too). It must be good luck because I had the BEST day of surfing yet. My second ride, I was just completely stressed out about school- so I stopped thinking about the surfing. I wasn't concentrating on what I was doing at all and apparently that is the trick because I got up and stayed up. After that it was just so much fun. I loved it. I learned how to dive under the waves and paddle paddle paddle. It was a lot of fun. However, my hand. While riding in on one of the waves I thought I was pretty much done the run so I fell back thinking it was deeper than it was. I bashed my hand on the sand... which is harder than you would expect. I can't move my left hand now. I cant grasp anything or put pressure on it. I am PRAYING it wont affect yoga. That would break my heart. I don't know if it is broken or sprained or fractured or bruised or whatever. I do know it feels extremely similar to when I broke my knuckle during frosh week. I'm going to go tomorrow and get a wrap of some sort for it. It really hurts though- something is definitely wrong. On a happier note- I rode about 75% of my waves today. I killed it! Hopefully tomorrow I can take two tylenol and get right back up on my board! After surfing it was so cute... I got to finally see some howler Monkeys. There was a baby and it was so cute. We have to be careful not to peeve them, because they will throw mangos at us. I kinda wanna see it.
After surfing we walked back into town. More like hiked. Chris and I went to the grocery store and I got FIJI water. It was like heaven in a bottle! Then we came back to the hotel and showered and got cleaned up for dinner.
We did the dinner and a movie again at El Sanyo Banana. The movie was Hancock and it was actually pretty good. I got the Pesto Penne Pasta and It was fabulous! Nothing compares to my Thai spring rolls however. Then after dinner Chris and I went shopping. I helped him bargain for his surfer ankle bracelet- we talked him down from 5,000 to 4,000 to 3,5. It was a good deal. Then I was looking at the most beautiful rings, I notices how something behind the ring display started to move. It was a snake... I had a bunch of the rings on my hand and like when I saw it I darted back about 200 feet. Screaming the whole way. The guy just wanted his rings back so he was screaming at me. It was really funny. I asked if I could take a pic of his snake cause no one would believe me but he said no cause it would scare the snake and he would get angry. It was weird lol. I didn't get the ring.
After shopping we came back to the hotel to hang until we were going to go out to the bar. I Ichatted with my mom for a bit, and Chris called home. We also got nosey and were listening to my neighbors in the room next to me. I don't know what it is with the people next to both our rooms but they are ALWAYS having sex. The walls here are paper thin. It's quite uncomfortable.
We both decided we were WAY too tired to go into town tonight. I'll prob regret it but I have three more weeks and I am really tired.
So now here I am blogging away. Pure exhaustion = me. So Im gunna hit the hay!
Pura Vida (think Karmic thoughts for my hand)
