Day 4

Sooo today has been such a peaceful day! I'm listening to my new obsession- Vampire Weekend (recommended by Christine of Course) ... its the perfect music for here!

Anyway So today I woke up and decided OMG I really can't move. I didn't get a very good sleep because I was so afraid about not waking up on time. Christine recommended my ipod because it has an alarm. However you have to sleep with the head phones in. So I did but I kept waking up because they kept falling out. I got up on time... but went back to sleep and decided to pass on Yoga. (I'm going to the night class instead). So I went to breakfast and met up with Geenie. We had the fruit with whip cream and pancakes. I also got a Papaya Milkshake. I think I'm going to stick with the Mango juice though- it's still my fav.
So then I came up to the hammocks and hung out with Torren. He does astrological charts and he did mine. It was super interesting, really accurate. It's all about how the moons and signs aligned the minute you were born. So its different for every individual.
Mine was very accurate (this is just a basic summary cause it's so detailed)... I'm very independent, creative and intelligent. It said I have issues committing which I found interesting. Its a negative because I'm so passionate about love but apparently am also petrified of it. Something along those lines. I am extremely optimistic and will completely leave things to fate. The thing that was the most accurate and something that I found hilarious was that... I am full of humor. Right before He read that to me.. I was telling him how I find everything hilarious but no one else ever does. My best match is supposed to be a capricorn, because apparently we are both determined free spirits, who have a passion for nice things and a will to live life to the fullest, we both play and work very hard. There was a lot more but I can't remember it. THe only thing I found inaccurate was the fact that I am supposed to pick up foreign languages and math well- cause I don't. You would agree if you heard my spanglish lol.
So now I am just chillen in the hammocks. Everyone else went on the waterfall hike. A lot of people are only here for a week so today was their only chance. However I will have other chances and today is the hottest it has been since I have been here. A whopping 31 degrees... which is 90+ for you metric nazi's. lol I also don't want to get too burnt out my first week so that I don't enjoy myself. It's also really nice to have the place to myself.
I have Massive battle wounds from surfing yesterday. My right knee is all bruised up because I dont pop well enough on the surf board yet. So my right knee is basically how I get up. I think I am still a little weak and will get a lot better at it. I'm excited to try again. The waves look ginormous again today! I think it will be good to learn in crazy conditions cause then when its nice I should be able to handle it. My goal for surfing today is to practice my pop.
Hmmm Now I'm wondering what I should do for lunch- I'm thinking something light but I dont know what. Alrighty until then! xxoo

Sooo I ended up going to a place called the Monkey Bakery or something like that and I totally know why. I legit had lunch with two monkeys and a baby monkey on the mums back. It was the cutest thing. I'll upload pics! Chris met up with me and we contemplated going to surfing... it was supposed to be cancelled because of the horrendous conditions- We started the hike and then decided a. I am sooo exhausted already that if I'm going to take a day off I would prefer it be a crap day which is was. and b. that it was a crap day and my muscles just needed a break. So we went to Los Artistas which is a world renowned restaurant. The New York Times did a write up on it. I had a mango juice with a tomato, mozzarella and mint sandwich. It was unreal good! We headed back and I just passes out. I took a nap and then went to yoga.
The yoga just gets better and better with each day. I had a new instructor names Kristen who I have a girl crush on. She was AMAZING. She is doing a cleanse so our class was based on eliminating toxins from the body. It was the hardest thing I've had to do here yet. The muscles behind my ankles need a lot of work. Anyway She is so cool... she has long curly blonde hair and is like a wicked cool Hippy surfer chick. She's my new fav person here.
After yoga, Geenie, Erin and I went into town to get some water and dinner. I had the thai noodles con camaron again cause they were so good last night. I also had a chocolate milkshake- no more though because the chocolate down here is so rich its tastes like a chocolate martini. Not like cold stone. (Ian Bud!) We hung out while they played Mama Mia in the back ground - I'd already seen it so I passed. My search for an alarm clock prevailed! It was a two dollar cheap plastic thing but I have high hopes for it. Karmic E2~

We then walked home and I jumped in the shower. Erin is reading eat love pray and so when I came out to the hammocks I was like OMG I have that and she was like totally read it! So Reading is on the agenda for tomorrow. It's been an easy lax day and I'm ready to shred some gnar tomorrow!
Pura Vida
