Day 12 & 13--- morning

So the post before the Roxy post is new! For some reason it posted before.... So read day 12 one first!

Ok so here is the craziest night EVER! LEGIT this takes the cake... p.s. it's 5:30 in the morning and I just got home...

So I got home from yoga yesterday night feeling absolutely fabulous! It was a great class. I had taken a wicked nap and was so rested and it was dandy.
THEN... Came home and showered... blah blah blah
So a bunch of us decided to go out to dinner at cocolores which is one of the nicer restaurants in town and now totally my fav. My meal was 12$ but that is really expensive for here... I kinda find it to be average. Not important... At the meal was me, Erin, Kylie, Matt & Stef, Raquel and Mirriam. I had chicken fajitas which were sooo fabulous! Once again- not all that important- however I did learn that you call a pooter in Britain a fanny so when tourists talk about their fanny packs- the locals are wondering what they are packing in their fannies... hahaha bad joke but we all know I laughed hysterically....

So After dinner we went to Chico's the bar and met up with the crew. We all assembled and made our journey to the beach to start the bon fire. It was so beautiful out- I saw three shooting stars tonight. I didn't make a wish because I have the power of Ke2 and don't need the stars. While walking to the bonfire I noticed that the breaking waves were a fluorescent green. Apparently there is a certain type of plankton that when agitated it glows. Needless to say the aurora borealis (Northern lights for you non academics) has nothing on this plankton. it was absolutely beautiful. I'm talking glow stick green waves. It was wicked. You almost think to yourself "did someone spike my drink? Am I stoned?" because it's that unreal. Luckily I knew it was neither of the two because I'm not drinking down here during my detox nor do I do drugs. (no witty comment inserted)
So Guillermo was trying to start the bonfire- not much luck. It was so fun. We all just hung out and people drank and smoked and we chatted. Then it was graduation for the fire poi dancers. It was there first time actually lighting up so it was sooo cool to watch them. Matt and Alicia did fabulous. I'm thinking I might try poi next week. How cool would I be if I cam home as a fire dancer. .... I'm thinking yes.
Hey Chris and Laura..."YES SUR... OH YEAH.... YES SUR... OH YEAH" hahah so one member of our group continuously kept saying those phrases. It was SOOOO annoying. We were just like PLEASE for the love of god shut the * up! hahahah ("Chris seriously stop or I'm going to pee my pants!!!"- me "Out of your pooter?"- Chris) haha so funny.
Ok so then after hanging out at the bonfire- which was SO much fun... we decided to go back to Chico's and dance and drink. I danced with some Tican dude- he was terrible. Very polite and nice but not easy or fun to dance with. Also it was reggae night so that made it difficult.
I hung out with Pablo and His german gf Stephanie whom I LOVE. She was like "Curtney, I'bm Drunk, vut ifz yuo go surfzing tzen I vill go surfzing"... I was like I love you steph- just come knock on my door = we both knew we weren't going.
There was this guy at Chico's who looked like Michael Jackson for real. His name was Ceazar. He was like in a pack. They juggled fire sticks and made glass balls descend in air and played bongos and smoked a LOT of weed. Laura was fascinated by the MJ look alike- so we made him moon walk. They told us they were going to have a bon fire on the beach so we told them we already had one and headed back that way. Laura and I were mean while thinking how we were about to be sacrificed to these spanish speaking boys all because we were fascinated by glass balls and mj look alikes. Meanwhile my dad's phone convo with me before I left about sex trafficking was also flashing in me head (see dad - I totally listen). But they seemed harmless so we went.
When we got to the bonfire-Some people were still there. They left pretty quick though and it was Laura and I and our new pack of crazies reggae pot heads who did tricks. We also met Peter. A 22 year old blonde surfer from L.A.. I asked him to teach me some wicked surf phrases and he said... and I quote "Shred some Gnar" HOLLER_ It's not only for snow boarding. He was really cool because he said things like calabunga and other one's I can't remember. Our Bongo playing hooligans passed out and Laura ran out of beer so we decided to head out-
We weren't ready to give up on the night so we decided for a late night swim. NOT the ocean of course when there is a perfectly good private, illegal pool right next to our hotel. So we snuck in. As we were walking up we saw a flash light and ran but were totally caught. Carlos our new Securidad amigo.... he was asking all types of questions in spanish (What room are you in blah blah blah) I told Laura too plead the 5th (she's a laura and this is her response- I don't think the 5th amendment from the American Constitution applies in Costa Rica).. Laughing hysterically i was like not litterally... So we just kept saying no entiendo and no habla englas. Our new friend Peter came up with the most OUTRAGEOUS lie ever... he was like (all in spanish) that our friend has the key and is on the beach making out with some tican so we came to the pool to wait for her. Carlos totally called our bluff. But he legit let us swim. He said us three but no one else. So not having our bathing suits- we all stripped down to our skivvies... My mom would be soo disappointed... My underwear and bra didn't match. I felt like a misfit. laura had no bra on and a thong and Peter had boxers. It was dark though. We had so much fun swimming. Finally Carlos came back and told us we had to be out by 5 because thats when the office opened and we would be caught and get him in trouble. So we darted... On our way out- he gave us hugs and told us to come back tomorrow at 2 am. Swimming tomorrow at 2 :)
On our way out we ran into Kristen the yoga instructor... she was like ummm are you guys just heading home and we were like ToTALLY. She giggled and was like Ok see you later- she was on her way to catch the bus to Tamarindo.... to go meet up with friends and surf.
So we walked home and ran into Dona Vicky the owner of the hotel. It was like we were back in high school and had just got caught by our rents sneaking in past curfew. We said our goodbyes and went to bed- and now I am here writing about my night. I'm half asleep and so I prob missed a ton but it was just so fun.
Some other highlights were that Laura had explained how my positive spirit has made me such an inspiration to a lot of the people in the school. She said that there were two people who people talked about constantly ...1. Matt and Stef's relationship because they are cuter than words... and 2. How everyone is praying for me because I am such a positive kindred spirit. It was really nice to hear. Chris while wasted had a heart to heart with me about how he wants to be a better person because of what I've been through. As I always say... just be the best you can be.
Needless to say... I'm not going to surf today. I wanted to get this up for you morning blog readers. I had such a good night and with out a drop of alcohol... I'm proof you can have fun with out drinking.
I also borrowed Erin's camera- because she is the biggest doll ever.... and so I will put up pics asap!
XOOXOXOXOX
I may update this a little more when I'm not half asleep~
Pura Vida
