Day 7

SO I just woke up and I am beyond exhausted. I really should have just went to sleep last night knowing I had zip lining today but I had way to much fun! I didnt want to miss it! So now its 8:30 here and I'm really tired. I can't wait for the zip lining thought. It's supposedly SO much fun! We shall see!

So I went zip lining and it was the coolest thing I have ever done. I went with Laura, Geenie, Erin and Torren. Kylie was supposed to come but wasn't feeling to well from the previous night. It was a really good group though. We got picked up in a lovely air conditioned van. It took us to the top of a HUGE hill. We got all strapped in and were ready to go. Luckily I hurt my left hand in surfing the other day because I needed to use my right hand as a brake. The scenery was absolutely stunning. It was so beautiful. We floated over tree's and Rivers and waterfalls. It's the best way to see Costa Rica. Apparently I was like a kid in a candy store because I was smiling 24/7 and just soo excited. Basically grinning from ear to ear. How could you not though? This is the opportunity of a lifetime that I am SO blessed to experience.
So Half way through we got to stop. We took off our helmets and went for a hike. I LOVE my new hiking sneakers. I felt way too cool for words. So we hiked down a mountain and at the bottom was the most unbelievable waterfall I have ever seen. It was STUNNING. There were about 4 drops. We went to the second one to the top. Only a few of us jumped off the cliff into it and OH yea I was one of them. The whole way down screaming CARPE DIEM. I'm glad I did. Totally worth it. So then we swam and hung out in the waterfall. There was also a rope swing. I had probably the most grace full swing into the water with the HOTTEST guys from Nebraska watching. hahah Well by graceful I mean a complete flop. I face planted into the water. They probably thought they were at sea world and watching Shamoo do tricks. Oh well I dont care because I had fun. A lot of fun.
The Major Downside to the day.... My camera! It is not broken because I am hoping Karmic energy will make it work for me. When I jumped off the cliff... I brought the camera with me because I wanted to do my lulu pose at the bottom of the other waterfall. Problem being when I looked down at my camera after the jump... the compartment where the memory card and battery is sealed was completely open. I almost bawled right there. I did the best I could to shake some of the water out... but figured there was nothing I could do until I got home. A. I'm really sad because all my pics from the past two days are gone. B. If it is broken- I have no more pics to give you lovely people for the rest of my trip which to me is ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING. So I have my camera airing out. I have a back up memory card, and I have my faith in karmic energy. The rest of the zip line was good though....
Then after the water fall we hiked back up the mountain. Talk about a hike. I was dripping sweat- and no it wasnt from previously swimming. My heart was pounding harding than ever. It was nice to get back to the top though. We got to do a few more lines and the last one was the best. It was sooo long and SO fast and it was basically the entire first few on the way there so it was super long.
After our last line we hiked a little more to get back to the main building. It was wicked because we got these crazy cool bevy's. It was like 1984 because all of their drinks like coke and ginerale come in these crazy old school glass bottles. I would have taken a picture but we all know how that turned out. We got to watch the video and pictures the professional photographer made of us. It was $20 but I think it was worth it especially if my camera ended up dying. I was really hoping I would have had it for tomorrow (horseback riding).
So then the bus brought us home and I took a nice long cold shower, I even shaved my legs. I want to just relax the rest of the day. I feel like I have been go go go for so long that it will be nice to just chill. A bunch of girls are going shopping in Mal Peis but I'm a little distraught over my camera and think I should save my money. However a blanket would be nice. I've been bundling up in towels. Someone suggested I turn off the AC. But anyone who knows me well knows that in Canada I was too cheap to turn on my heat and preferred to just bundle under blankets. So I like the room cold with blankets. Not so much the case here.
My moisture wicking lulu leggings were perfect for today. Mom you were so right- having a zipper would have killed. A couple funny stories from today. After one of the zips, I was like "OW My pooter hurt from that one" because I forgot to adjust the harness. Geenie was like "Your What?" and I whispered to her..."You know my pussy" and she almost fell off the platform. The look on her face was PRICELESS. Damn you camera. lol It was really funny.
Another one was while we were waiting on a zip platform, the guide pointed out a group of bats on a tree. Then he said how Costa Rica has 90% of the worlds bats, the most out of anywhere in the world. So Geenie missed what he said and asked me and I was just like "Yea Costa Rica has a bunch of bats"- I don't know why it was hilarious but we were all just dying laughing. It was really funny. Maybe one of those you had to be there type details.
I'm off to go eat left over calzone. Pray for my camera!
